    Description:


    These are white PTFE discs for weighing pans and many other uses. They are 0.010" thick. PTFE has a virtually universal chemical inertness; of commercial chemicals, only molten alkali metals and gaseous fluorine at high temps and pressure attack PTFE. The working temp range is -20° F to 500° F. It has the lowest coefficient of any solid. It has no slip-stick characteristics; static and dynamic coefficients are equal. Nothing sticks with any strength to unheated surfaces. UV stabilized. Virgin material meets FDA standards and is USDA approved.


    PTFE is available in a variety of formulations including unfilled, glass-filled, and bearing grades.

    Unfilled PTFE

    Unfilled PTFE is extremely soft and formable and it is often used for chemical resistant seals and gaskets.

    Glass-filled PTFE

    Glass-filled PTFE has enhanced strength and stiffness.

    Bearing Grades of PTFE

    Bearing grades of PTFE have extremely low friction and high service temperatures. They are frequently specified for high performance bearings and bushings, particularly in applications that require resistance to corrosive chemicals.

    Virgin Grade PTFE

    PTFE sheet, rod, and tube are available in virgin grade, which is made from virgin PTFE resin as well as reprocessed or mechanical grade, which is made from recycled material.
